Open Graph Checker

This open graph checker and meta tags checker fetches a live public page, checks whether an og:image exists, and reviews the key SEO and social tags that affect search snippets and link previews.

Checks source HTML only. If a site injects tags only after client-side JavaScript runs, crawlers and this tool may not see them.

[ WHAT THIS CHECKS ]

Based on current Open Graph and Google Search documentation, the most useful baseline checks are title, meta description, canonical, robots, og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url, og:type, and twitter:card metadata.

For this first version, I am intentionally not turning it into a full site crawler. It does not audit structured data, hreflang, sitemap files, Core Web Vitals, internal links, or rendered JavaScript DOM output. The goal here is a fast og image checker and website meta tags checker for live pages.

[ FAQ ]
What is an Open Graph checker?

It checks the metadata social platforms use for link previews, especially og:title, og:description, og:url, og:type, and og:image.

What is an OG image checker?

It verifies whether a page declares an og:image URL, whether that URL resolves correctly, and whether it returns an actual image.

Why check Twitter card tags too?

X cards can fall back to some Open Graph metadata, but an explicit twitter:card setup is still useful when you want predictable social previews.
